My name is Sherae Quick, certified Family Nurse Practitioner with the Convenient Clinic located in Washington, DC. I am originally from North Carolina; a small-town girl with big dreams to become a nurse practitioner in the metropolitan area. I enjoy all things creative and DIY projects. I have developed a passion for art, candle making and sugar scrubs jars that I make in my creative space located in the basement of my home.
I practiced as a registered nurse for 9 years with experience in the cardiac ICU, ER, and urgent care departments before I decided to further my education and obtain my master’s degree in nursing. I am actively pursuing my Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner at Grand Canyon University. I have a total 12 years in the nursing profession with a professional goal to provide compassionate, nurturing, and high-quality care to all patients.
I view health and wellness from a holistic approach, that everything is connected as an entire unit. A person must be balanced mind, body, and spirit to truly achieve the optimum level of wellness. My inspiration to become an aesthetician began during my practicum as I was obtaining my master’s degree. I was able to observe and participate alongside my clinical instructor in performing minor office procedures such as cool sculpting, liposuction, Botox fillers, vaginal rejuvenation, and platelet rich plasma therapy for hair loss. The enormous amount of gratitude from the patients after their treatments was overwhelmingly satisfying. I felt a true sense of purpose as I was able to help others achieve their personal definitions of beauty and feel great about their overall appearance again. In the words of Margaret Wolfe Hungerford, beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder and I absolutely and wholeheartedly find beauty in all things
